The 18th China Textile and Apparel Trade Fair and the New York Fashion Fabric Show, the New York International Clothing Fair and the New York International Home Textiles Fair show local time on July 17 in New York Jarvis Convention and Exhibition Center kicked off.

Compared with the previous exhibition, the scale of this exhibition expanded 33% over the same period last year, a total of 650 exhibitors in China, the proportion of exhibitors increased year by year. From Suzhou, 32 clothing and textile enterprises to "Suzhou famous tour" in the form of debut this exhibition, to overseas businessmen to display clothing, home textiles, accessories and other quality products.

Zhang Qiyue, the Chinese Consul General in New York, said that China Textile and Apparel Trade Fair not only witnessed the leap in the development of Sino-US textile and apparel trade, but also witnessed the rapid development of Sino-US bilateral economic and trade relations. Sino-US economic and trade cooperation not only brings tangible benefits to the people of the two countries, highlights the nature of mutual benefit and win-win, but also makes important contributions to the promotion of world economic development.

Director of the exhibition company in Frankfurt, Germany, said that the New York exhibition has made remarkable achievements. For example, the number of exhibitors at the TEXWORLD apparel show in New York increased by 18% compared to 2016, with 29% and 32% of the exhibitors at the New York International Apparel Fair and the New York International Home Textiles Fair. He said that if there is no such a partner in China, will not achieve such a result.

According to the US Department of Commerce recently released trade data, the United States in April imports of textiles and clothing 7.727 billion US dollars, an increase of 0.59%. Imports of textiles and clothing from China amounted to US $ 2.62 billion, an increase of 6.59% and an increase of 36.54% from the previous year, accounting for 33.95% of the total US imports. It can be seen that China's textile and garment enterprises usher in the United States.
