2019 National Textile and Apparel Industry High Quality Development Path Forum and the 10th China Textile and Apparel Entrepreneur Activity Day was held in Shishi. Promoting high-quality development of manufacturing industry is the first task of the 2019 key task proposed by the Central Economic Work Conference. "Manufacturing is the mainstay of the national economy, and promoting the high-quality development of manufacturing is a key task for the high-quality development of China's economy." Cao Xuejun, deputy director of the Consumer Products Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that from the government level, the textile and apparel industry is promoted. The primary task of high-quality development is to strengthen the construction of science and technology innovation system, optimize and adjust the industrial structure, foster new forms of industrial development, enhance the level of international development, and create a development environment of fair competition.
"In the face of the booming regional economy, increased trade conflicts, technological upgrading, environmental protection as the king, and consumers' emphasis on experience, the future industrial development should be concentrated in environmental protection, smart manufacturing and highly cooperative supply chain systems to fully create high-tech and high-tech. Quality and high-efficiency competitive advantages, and then achieve high-quality development of the textile and garment industry. Weng Maozhong, vice chairman of the Taiwan Textile Industry Development Association, believes that the textile and garment industries in the mainland and Taiwan are highly complementary and have great potential for cooperation. I hope that the two sides will strengthen exchanges and deepen Cooperation, through joint research and development, creating brands, colluding standards, and expanding the market, will further enhance the level of cross-strait industrial cooperation and global competitiveness.
Peng Yanli, deputy secretary general of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, said that technology, green and fashion are the new positioning of the textile industry and the key to achieving high quality development. Through the relevant planning documents, China Textile Science and Technology Department guides the industry to carry out key technical research and advanced technology promotion, and commends outstanding scientific and technological workers and research and development technology achievements, and through the evaluation and identification of textile technology innovation centers and textile industry key laboratories, China Textile Industry Patent Awards and China Patent Awards, etc., actively promote the textile industry's technological innovation system and capacity building.
At the meeting, Hua Shan, director of China Textile Economic Research Center, Huang Weiji, secretary general of Taiwan Textile Industry Development Association, and other industry experts and entrepreneurs gave keynote speeches, and the participants also exchanged on-site and shared experiences.
"The advantage of China's textile and garment industry lies in its solid industrial base, complete and efficient industrial chain, high quality of talented personnel, and huge potential for domestic market demand. By the end of 2018, China Textile Association has identified 215 textile industry cluster pilot areas." China Textile Industry Xia Lingmin, vice president of the Federation and president of China Textile Industry Enterprise Management Association, introduced the development history of China's textile and garment industry and the major historical events that have affected the development of the industry since the reform and opening up.
According to reports, at present, China has become the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of textile and garment. China's textile and apparel exports account for 37% of the world's total, and the industry's employment accounts for 10% of the national industry. In the industry, 98% of the regulated enterprises are private enterprises. Xia Lingmin pointed out that in order to achieve high-quality development, the textile and garment industry must start with technological innovation, brand promotion, green sustainability, talent team, branding, intelligence, and internationalization. |
