After joining the Sustainable Apparel Alliance, the American International Cotton Association will provide data and resources to support the Higg Index.
Recently, the American International Cotton Association (CCI) announced its participation in the Sustainable Apparel Alliance (SAC) and will use the alliance s sustainability assessment tool Higg Index to promote environmental and social responsibility throughout the supply chain.
As a member of the Sustainable Apparel Alliance, the International Cotton Association will work with more than 250 global brands, retailers and manufacturers, as well as governments, non-profit environmental organizations and academic institutions to work together to improve the apparel, footwear and textile industry supply chain Sustainability.
In the past 35 years, the US cotton industry has achieved outstanding environmental protection achievements in the development of sustainable cotton cultivation, and will continue to make continuous improvements.
