Polypropylene filament processing methods are many, the vast majority of polypropylene filament are processed with false twist method, the principle is as follows: if the two ends of the fixed wire in the middle of the twist, then on the twisting point, the next two sections of the wire will form a twist to the opposite, the same twist. If the twist direction on the lower strand of the twist point is set to twist, then the twist direction on the strand above the twist point is untwist. When the filament is moved from the bottom up to above the twist point, the resulting twist is reduced to zero, and there is no true twist on the filament. The thermoplastic energy of the chemical fiber is used to heat set in the next section of the twist point, that is, the twisted wire has been twisted in the heat setter to eliminate the twisting stress, then the twisting deformation is fixed, and when the twisting point is turned off, the curled state formed by the twist is preserved, called crimped fluffy polypropylene filament. The polypropylene elastic filament produced by false twist method has unbalanced torque and unstable shape.
